BIOGRAPHY ----------------------------------------------------- Born on December the 2nd in the city of Saint-Hyacinthe, Marc-André discovers very early his talent for drawing. Already in kidergarten, his teacher notices his potential. He then spends a great part of his childhood in Otterburn Park, near Mont-Saint-Hilaire, where he develops his drawing skills, inspired by comic books and where he first studies the art at the age of 10. He applies constantly his newly learned skills, even in regular school during classes. In the summer of 2000, after his high school studies, he successfully completes the program of Professionnal Illustration at Collège Salette. In the fall, he meets Cécile Bond, an artist manager who arranges his first painting exposition in Sainte-Julie. This gives him the opportunity to meet many artists, but Gerald Trudel fascinates him the most. Shortly after meeting him, he becomes his student. At the end of the course, Marc-André continues his lessons with Jules Bouchard until 2005. He is approached by the Curry’s store in 2007 with a proposal to become a teacher himself in the Saint-Hubert branch. Following a trip to Paris in winter of 2007, Marc-André received invitations to expose his art in France. Today he balances painting and work... Tomorrow he hopes to live from his passion. BIOGRAPHIE ----------------------------------------------------- Né le 2 décembre 1979 dans la ville de St-Hyacinthe, Marc-André découvre très tôt son talent de dessinateur. Déjà à la maternelle, son professeur croit qu'il ira loin. Ensuite, il passe une grande partie de son enfance dans la ville d'Otterburn Park, près de Mont-St-Hilaire, où il développe le dessin en s'inspirant des bandes dessinées et où il prend son premier cours de dessin à l'âge de 10 ans. Il met en pratique ses nouvelles connaissances sans arrêt et s'exerce même à l'école en même temps que ses cours. À l'été 2000, après ses études secondaire, il complète avec succès un cours en "Illustration professionnelle" au collège Salette. L'automne suivant, il fait la rencontre de Cécile Bond, une gérante d'artiste peintre qui l'initie à son premier symposium de peinture à Ste-Julie. Il côtoie du fait même plusieurs artistes, et l'un d'entre eux, Gérald Trudel, sur qui il porte une attention particulière. Il prend quelques cours de peinture animalière avec ce dernier pour ensuite continuer avec Jules Bouchard avec qui il a pris des cours jusqu'en 2005. À son tour en 2007, il est approché pour donner des cours de dessins et de peinture au magasin Curry’s à St-Hubert. À la suite d’un voyage à Paris en décembre 2007, Marc-André aura reçu des invitations à aller exposer en France.
